Wetlands are, by several orders of magnitude, the most valuable ecosystem when it comes to the services they provide.
Wetlands International is dedicated to maintaining and restoring wetlands – for their natural and spiritual values as well as for the services they provide to people. Urgent action is needed to reverse the decline and revive these natural wonders. It’s time to bring back our wetlands at the scale and pace needed to address the water, climate and biodiversity crises. Will you join them?
The organisation works through their network of offices, as well as partners and experts, to achieve their goals. Most of their work is financed on a project basis by governments, companies and private donors, as well as unrestricted funding designated to strengthen the impact of the organisation. To achieve the ambitious goals of their Strategic Intent 2020 – 2030, Wetlands International is seeking to significantly increase the scale, pace and impact of their work, that in turn will enable others to act. To help turn their vision into reality, this senior position has been created in the global team for an experienced fundraiser to increase income and fundraising capacity by designing and implementing an entrepreneurial partnership strategy across the global network.
You will bring a robust track record of working with prospects and donors to secure gifts at the 6-figure level or more, and relish the opportunity to shape, build and drive an international team focussed on achieving our goals. You will be a collaborative and strategic team player, who isn’t afraid of rolling up their sleeves to build an operation that will underpin their success in fundraising and partnership building. Your experience of developing strategic philanthropic relationships, coupled with an innovative and flexible approach to achieving outstanding results, will inspire colleagues and partners around you.
If you believe you have the experience, aptitude and commitment to drive Wetlands International’s fundraising activity to the next level and are passionate about protecting and rejuvenating the world we live in and rely on, please get in touch.
