Enquiring minds, inspirational teaching and pioneering research.
Do you have a passion for higher education and a talent for working with individual donors? The University of York is seeking an individual with excellent communication skills, the ability to build strong relationships, passion and commitment to join the Office of Philanthropic Partnerships and Alumni as Philanthropy Manager.
Founded on principles of excellence, equality and opportunity for all, the University of York opened in 1963 with just 230 students. Since then, York has become one of the world's leading universities, carving out a reputation as an academic powerhouse where a clear focus on excellence has secured national and international recognition alongside longer established institutions.
This is an opportunity to develop the University’s fundraising from Major Donors and to use your voice to make an impact and champion philanthropy at York. You will gather inspirational stories, bring supporters closer to the organisation, and promote giving opportunities to a diverse audience. This is an exciting time to join the University, as they put in place an ambitious fundraising and volunteering programme in the Campaign for York. This would be an ideal role for you if you are experienced in soliciting 5 figure gifts and would like the chance to work on projects and asks on a larger scale.
It takes a dynamic community of people to effect change. If you believe in helping the University’s diverse community of students to pursue their dreams and their academic community to ask new research questions, then we would love to hear from you.
