There are 2 positions available – a 12-month maternity cover contract and a permanent role.

In 2019 the University of Birmingham launched the ambitious Birmingham In Action campaign, which commits to raising over £600 million of charitable funding and achieving 1.25 million volunteer hours, positioning the University as one of the world leaders in university development. They are now at the midpoint of this sector-leading campaign, and have secured significant support and investment into the team to enable them to achieve even more.
As Charitable Funding Partner (2 positions available) (Grade 8) you will work closely with leading academics and senior leadership to identify and design new funding opportunities to engage UK and overseas trusts, foundations and charities, with the aim of developing long-term partnerships. As an experienced fundraiser this is your a chance to secure major and principal-level gifts, taking a relationship-led approach to building long-term connections with supporters globally. Your track record of securing significant philanthropic gifts from trusts and foundations will be key to success in this role, as will your ability to translate and present complex information into compelling proposals and asks.
