Greenpeace is a movement of people who are passionate about defending the natural world from destruction.
Their vision is a greener, healthier and more peaceful planet, one that can sustain life for generations to come.
Greenpeace takes peaceful direct action to protect our Earth and promote solutions for a green and peaceful future. Their global movement is growing every day and we are at a pivotal point in human history to turn the tide on climate change and biodiversity loss.
In order to ensure their campaigning efforts continue to be effective and to keep up the pressure on government and businesses, Greenpeace UK fundraises from private individuals and charitable trusts and foundations who help them continue their work. Their high-performing Fundraising Department is now looking for a new Director to lead the charge in this area and ensure that they continue to sustainably grow their philanthropic income.
Under the leadership of Greenpeace UK’s co-Executive Directors, Areeba Hamid and Will McCallum, the Fundraising Director will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of a fundraising strategy that delivers what the organisation needs. As an active member of the SMT, you will provide leadership for their Fundraising Department and collaborate with a newly appointed Programme Director and other senior colleagues to deliver winning campaigns that increases both their income and brand awareness with new audiences.
You will bring excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as a strategic outlook and entrepreneurial mindset. Your track record of delivery will include motivating and getting the best out of the fundraising teams you’ve managed, through creating the right environments for success. Experience of designing and delivering effective mass individual giving programmes and engaging new audiences will be vital, as will your ability to navigate complex global organisations and getting things done. The time to act is now. Will you join Greenpeace UK?
