In the UK, L’Arche has 11 Communities across three countries where they celebrate people with learning disabilities and build communities with them, rather than for them.

It is this focus on building relationships and cultivating a sense of belonging, that makes L’Arche UK different from other service providers.

As the new Director of Fundraising & Communications, you will be a key player in a National Leadership Team and drive a step change in their voluntary income and further build their public profile.

Your proven track record of working with major donors to deliver successful fundraising initiatives, and of contributing to profile-raising communications activities, will underpin your success in this role.

You will bring demonstrable experience of working across organisations to develop compelling stories, proposals and initiatives that have attracted new audiences and deepened engagement with existing ones.  You will be an inclusive and collaborative leader and networker, with experience of successfully bringing stakeholders together to achieve shared outcomes.  With your natural flair for team management and creating new opportunities, you will inspire and get the best out of their Fundraising & Communications team, and take L’Arche UK’s activities to new heights.  In return, you will have the support of a committed team and highly engaged CEO and Board, and have an opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of many people.

L’Arche UK has an ambitious vision to grow as a beacon of both care and community in our society in the years to come.  They want to shift public perceptions of people with learning disabilities, and give more voice and visibility to people with disabilities. They want to make L’Arche UK Communities more visible, influential and connected, as incubators of social change, inclusion and empowerment.  Will you join L’Arche in the UK to help make this a reality?
