It is the only global educational NGO that intentionally selects and brings together students from different socio-economic backgrounds, cultures, races, religions and nationalities.
UWCA is a residential sixth form college for young people aged 16-19, situated on the south Wales coast at St Donat’s Castle. Today, 350 pupils from over 90 nationalities make up their student body, all pursuing the two-year International Baccalaureate qualification.

UWCA combines a distinctive vision with a global reputation for educational innovation and an inimitable, world class education. Their students are the next generation of change-makers.
Having recently celebrated their 60th anniversary, they are significantly increasing their fundraising activities to support three key areas of the future – their People, Purpose and Place. To help them achieve this, the UWCA Leadership team created a new Major Gifts Manager position, and are seeking an experienced fundraiser who will identify, cultivate and steward major gift opportunities and match these with prospective donors.
The Major Gifts Manager will develop and manage a portfolio of existing and prospective major donors to support key initiatives at UWCA. You will bring experience of nurturing relationships with donors, including securing gifts of 5-figure or more, and working across a mixed portfolio. International fundraising experience would be a bonus, as is fluency in or good knowledge of other world languages. You will be a strong team player and bring a flexible and proactive attitude, which has helped you gain the trust of your colleagues and senior volunteers.
This is an exciting time to join UWCA. Their mission drives everything they do and should be part of your inspiration for applying for this role.
Please note, the post holder will be required to spend up to 3 days per week in the office in London, with monthly visits to UWC Atlantic.
In order for us to process your application we require a CV and cover letter. Please refer to the Information Pack which is available to download at the top of this page.
