The new Philanthropy & Government Relations Director will have strategic and operational leadership responsibility for all non-performance and non-commercial earned income generation for Sydney Dance Company.

An opportunity now exists for an experienced senior philanthropic fundraising professional to join Sydney Dance Company’s Senior Leadership Team as the new Philanthropy & Government Relations Director. The Director will have strategic and operational leadership responsibility for non-performance and non-commercial earned income generation, which is central to the ongoing growth of the Company, including all philanthropic activity and development of  Federal, State and Local Government advocacy and funding strategies.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive experience in philanthropic fundraising with a track record of success in raising/mobilising large and multi-year funds in the not-for-profit sector with a multi-faceted strategic approach. Superior interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders will be fundamental, with an ability to represent the Company in a range of public forums. A passion and appreciation for the work of Sydney Dance Company together with a collaborative approach to leadership and management will also be key.
