Director of Development, Advancement

Location. Fontainebleau, France

Salary. Excellent Salary and Benefits

Closing Date. Monday 7th January

INSEAD brings together people, cultures and ideas to develop responsible leaders who transform business and society.  As a mission-driven school, INSEAD focuses on three values: open, rigorous, and entrepreneurial. Founded on a commitment to innovation in management education, INSEAD was the first international business school, introduced the first one-year MBA, pioneered company specific executive education, and has developed a unique fully-integrated multi-continent campus structure. Today, no more than 10% of the incoming MBA class comes from one country – we truly are the Business School for the World.

Philanthropic relationships with individuals and organisations are critical to supporting excellence and academic innovation. The Advancement team, who have increased and surpassed their fundraising targets for the last four consecutive years, have just publicly launched their Force for Good Campaign and are seeking a Director of Development, Advancement, for Leadership and Reunion Giving.

Reporting to the Associate Dean, Advancement, you will be responsible for transforming the reunion giving and growing the leadership giving programmes, and actively managing your own portfolio of donors.  As a member of the Advancement senior management team, you will add inspiring leadership to fundraising colleagues across the School and drive comprehensive donor and volunteer management strategies to achieve team goals.

Key to your success in this role is your track record in securing philanthropic gifts, sophisticated communication and diplomacy skills, and confidence in building strong relationships at a senior level, across a complex and global organisation. Your collaborative nature will inspire those around you and enable you to realise the amazing potential of the leadership and reunion giving programmes and teams.  Your proven networking and organisational abilities will support you in creating and sustaining long-term relationships with high-level donors, leadership, and volunteers. Although knowledge of French would be advantageous, it is not essential.

If you believe you have the skills, aptitude and commitment to join an advancement team in one of the world’s leading business schools, we look forward to hearing from you.
