Reef is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. More than 2 million
people travel to see it each year. It is worth more than $6 billion to the
Australian economy and has recently been estimated to be worth more than $50
billion internationally by Deloitte Access Economics. However, despite all of
this it is in great danger. As the largest living organism on Earth, the Reef
needs protection and investment – now more than ever.

Reef Foundation is the largest charity raising money for the Reef and is also
responsible for delivering a $440 million Reef funding program, recently
announced by the Australian Government. To
help deliver this exciting program of work over the next six years, the
Foundation is seeking an accomplished and strategic major gifts fundraiser to join
You will be
responsible for bringing together leading philanthropists and foundations from
around the world; managing all aspects of the Great Barrier Reef Foundation’s
major gifts programs including donor identification, engagement, solicitation
and stewardship. This role will also
oversee the Foundation’s growth into key international markets and supervise
international development personnel located in satellite offices.
