The University of the Arts London (UAL) is a global leader in arts, design, fashion and communications.
The 2019 QS Rankings for Art and Design rank us as second in the world, as well as the world’s leading art and design university with undergraduate provision. We have a clear strategic vision set out until 2022 which is focussed on providing transformative education, developing world-leading research and enterprise, becoming the centre of public debate for the future of arts, design, fashion and communication, and building an inspirational, physical environment that supports its students, staff and wider communities.
To support this ambition, we are in the final planning stages of our first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign. The campaign is part of the university’s largest-ever investment in Development posts and activity, and support for our work across the university could not be stronger. Our fundraising activity since 2014 demonstrates a steady, upward trajectory and we have achieved significant results already. We are now seeking 3 talented individuals in a Head of Events, Head of Development Operation, and Head of Campaign, to join and help us fulfil UAL’s potential.
The Head of Events be responsible for the events strategy and delivery within the Development department, and be a key coordination point for events activities across UAL and its six constituent colleges, working in partnership with the established college events teams. Working with the team, you will provide a central hub of expertise for events management for external audiences, and help us develop best practice in university-wide events management and evaluation.
You will bring significant experience in events management, both in strategy and delivery, and have set and managed realistic budgets for your area of responsibility. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to operate at a senior level across a complex organisation, will be crucial to your success in this role, as is your resilience and ability to remain calm under pressure. You will enjoy working with a wide range people across departments to bring events to life, and bring an innovative approach to problem solving.
If you are interested in a unique chance to make a significant impact on the future of UAL and Britain’s creative future, we’d like to hear from you.
