The University has recently concluded the largest philanthropic effort in Australia’s history: its $1 billion INSPIRED campaign. As the University moves forward to our next philanthropic chapter, we are seeking a new Vice-Principal (Advancement) who will strategically lead the development and execution of a robust advancement strategy and programs to support our strategic priorities. Pivotal to this will be the planning and development of the University’s next ambitious comprehensive campaign, retaining the momentum and deep relationships built within the University’s donor community and helping to thoroughly embed a culture of institutional philanthropy at all levels. 

 As a strategic and visionary leader, you will possess extensive experience in an advancement leadership role, ideally gained within the higher education sector. A demonstrable track record in the leadership of major gift fundraising initiatives and the cultivation and solicitation of major and principal gifts at the 7 and 8 figure level will be crucial. Fundamental to success in the role will be the ability to engage and influence a variety of stakeholders, a donor-centric approach to philanthropy, and a deep commitment to inclusion and integration of the advancement effort across University.

Term and remuneration

The initial appointment will be for 5 years and the successful candidate will be offered an attractive remuneration package.
