Scotch was founded in 1919 by a philanthropic group of Presbyterian families as a memorial for a community recovering from World War One. In 2026, it is a thriving community of over 1300 students from ELC through to Year 12 across two campuses, approximately ten minutes from the CBD in Torrens Park in the southern suburbs of Adelaide.

Philanthropy at Scotch is about more than just giving; it’s about ensuring that every student has access to a world-class education, regardless of their circumstances. School fees and government grants alone do not provide for the ongoing advancement of the College, and it is through the generosity of our community that we continue to achieve our broader educational aspirations and vision.

In recent years, the College has strengthened their philanthropic program and successfully engaged their community in supporting key College priorities. They are now preparing to take the next significant step—mobilising support for a new and exciting pipeline of transformational projects. To underpin this work, the College has engaged a leading consultancy to conduct feasibility studies and guide the strategic development of their next phase of philanthropic growth.

Success in this role will require you to lean into your passion for philanthropy within education, making the most of your ability to communicate authentically with a variety of communities, groups and individuals.  You will be supported by and working closely with the Principal.

The College is keen to secure the right candidate as soon as possible so will be encouraging informal conversations with the Principal as candidates show interest.
