Head of Health & Biomedical Fundraising
GRIFFITH UNIVERSITY
GOLD COAST OR BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA
Competitive
Closing 27/06/2025

This year, Griffith University turns 50 years old. That’s half a century of delivering a transformative education experience to hundreds of thousands of students from around Queensland, Australia and the world.

Griffith Health is one of Australia’s largest and most diverse health faculties, committed to innovation and excellence in health education and research and continues to play a pivotal role in the University’s success.

The Institute for Biomedicine and Glycomics (IBG) and the Health Group are home to projects supported already by many of Griffith’s most generous donors. This includes the quest for vaccines for a range of infectious diseases, progress towards human clinical trials to repair spinal cord injury, and extensive work on understanding chronic fatigue. The impact on projects supported by this work will be significant and will make a tangible difference to individuals and society.

The new Head of Health and Biomedical Fundraising, a key member of the fundraising leadership team within the Advancement office at Griffith, will set the strategic fundraising approach for the Health Group and IBG, continuing this impactful philanthropy work.

You will be responsible for securing principal and major gifts (at the $500K+ level) and leading, managing and driving the performance of the Advancement Manager and Philanthropic Projects Manager.

You will bring a track record in securing major gifts, grants, and philanthropic funding from individuals, foundations, corporations or government agencies, with a strong knowledge of fundraising strategies and programs. This experience may have been gained in the higher education, health or other not for profit environment but a passion for health sciences and medical research and the ability to translate complex ideas through compelling story-telling will be key.

If you are goal-driven, keen to deliver, adaptable with strong leadership capabilities then please do reach out to Jocelyn Kelty, Director or Julie Baker, Consultant at Richmond Associates on +61 (0)2 8218 2185 or at info@richmond-associates.com to learn more.
