As an independent, not-for-profit organisation, the MCA raises over 85% of its revenue each year through donations and commercial activities. The Head of Philanthropy and Major Gifts plays a vital role within the MCA’s Development Division.

In this senior position, reporting directly to the Director of Development you will lead the MCA’s philanthropic activity, raising essential funds that empower their mission to enrich the community through contemporary art. They are seeking a high-performing professional with a deep understanding of the donor landscape, who is innovative and proactive, with a solid grasp of financial management.

In this role, you will drive high-level giving to the MCA by cultivating meaningful relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, ensuring exceptional engagement experiences, and identifying innovative opportunities for giving across all MCA activities. This relationship-driven position requires exemplary communication and relationship-building skills, along with a strategic, and donor-centric approach to fundraising, as well as demonstrating a passion for the Arts and the ability to connect with philanthropists in impactful ways.
