Head of Philanthropy
THE ROYAL HOSPITAL FOR WOMEN FOUNDATION
Sydney, Australia
Competitive
Closing 14/09/2026

In a world where women’s health has been systematically less funded, less researched and ultimately, less understood– The Royal Hospital for Women dares to make it better for women as NSW’s only specialist, dedicated women’s hospital, caring for 20,000 women and 4,000 babies each year.

The Royal Hospital for Women Foundation (RHWF) provides essential funding for medical equipment, research, innovation and programs, empowering the hospital to continue its enduring commitment to transforming the lifelong health of women and newborns, leading in genetics and fertility, gynaecology, breast health, gynaecological oncology, menopause, maternity, and neonatal intensive care.

RHWF has set an ambitious three-year Philanthropy Campaign that will also be a disciplined proving ground for a longer-term ambition to become the leading philanthropic engine for women’s health in Australia. They are now seeking a Head of Philanthropy who, reporting to the CEO and a critical new member of the leadership team, will help build and lead RHWF’s major gifts program and realise their Campaign goals.

As the successful candidate you will bring a demonstrable track record in cultivating stakeholder and donor relationships, securing gifts at the 6 figure level with the ability to lead a team and drive the fundraising strategy. An understanding of and experience in health/research will be advantageous.

To learn more about this opportunity via a confidential discussion, including remuneration, please contact Jocelyn Kelty, Director or Julie Baker, Senior Consultant at Richmond Associates.

Closing date for applications is 14/09/2026.

It is estimated that first interviews RHWF will take place from late September 2026, however this is to be confirmed.

Please tell us if there are any reasonable adjustments we can make to help you in your application or with our recruitment process.

International candidates who are interested in relocating to Australia will be considered as visa support is available for this position.
