With a clear aspiration to deepen alumni and philanthropic engagement and build enduring, values led relationships, the Alumni & Philanthropy Unit (APU) is reimagining its structure, refreshing the way they work, and rebuilding a number of roles.
The Lead, Prospect Strategy & Research will be a critical enabler of fundraising activity and performance, providing leadership in informing philanthropic fundraising performance at UTS through advanced prospect insight, portfolio strategy and data driven planning.
Reporting to the Head of Advancement Systems and Service, the role shapes institution wide approaches to prospective donor identification, research, engagement and pipeline planning to support the University’s philanthropic and engagement priorities. It equips those engaging in philanthropic relationship building with the intelligence, frameworks and performance insights required to deliver outcomes at scale.
Working in close partnership with senior Alumni & Philanthropy leaders, the role ensures prospect strategy drives sustainable philanthropic growth for UTS. The position has formal supervisory responsibilities for a small team of prospect research and planning specialists.

This position is being advertised internally and externally concurrently. In accordance with UTS policy, priority consideration will be given to suitably qualified redeployment candidates, while applications are also welcomed from experienced fundraisers in the external market.
